WHY DO I KEEP REACHING YOUR VOICEMAIL?
We are a small boutique studio and do not currently have a receptionist. If you reach our voicemail during business hours, its most likely we are with clients. Please leave us a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible! If you would like to make an appointment right now, you can book online anytime by clicking the ‘book here’ tab at the top of this page. Whoo-hoo!

WHY ARE YOU DIFFERENT FROM ANOTHER LASH SALON?

Basically we want to provide top quality for your lashes, not rushing through your lash appointment, and provide a nice clean environment. We want to provide the best lash extensions, this means artistry, skill and time. Customer service is our priority, every client is a unique individual and should be treated as such. We believe quality is not something that is rushed.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE OF GOOD LASHES VERSUS BAD?

It is hard to understand what the difference is of good lash application versus bad when you're new to the lash world. Naturally you would think you could basically go anywhere that offers them but this is not the case. Proper training and education is necessary. Would you go to anyone for your hair? Most likely you would go to someone who knows your hair, your preference and style or perhaps you were referred.  You'd probably want someone who is extremely knowledgeable about products, technique and has experience with good hair care. Same goes for lashes.

Basically there are many different varieties of lashes, different sizes, lengths and weights, different brands, adhesives etc. Not everyone has the same natural lashes, thus it depends on what each individual clients natural lash can hold. On top of that there is proper isolation of the lash. You shouldn't really feel lash extensions being applied and the appointment shouldn't be rushed. There should never be too much force. Some other things to look out for are: too much lash glue, too thick/plastic-y feeling lashes, and more. A good lash artist has a great artistic eye, keeps in mind lash health, knows proper isolation, steady yet gentle hands, and uses the proper amount of glue. Most of our clients say they want extensions that make people ask "Are those your lashes, because they look so good!"

HOW LONG DO LASH EXTENSIONS LAST?

This is a good question. It is dependent on a variety of factors including, size/quality of the natural lash, natural oils produced, aftercare of the lash extensions. Most lash clients will book a fill every two weeks to keep them looking fresh. Some clients however, can go up to 4 weeks (usually those clients have very long thick natural lashes). A fill is considered having at least 40-50% lash extensions remaining. A typical refill is usually 60 minutes for most clients but if you would like them more full 75-90 minutes might be what you need.

WHAT PRODUCTS ARE USED?

We use a variety of products, all high quality tried and tested. One of our main glues that we use is a medical grade adhesive, made in the USA and is instantly waterproof and sweat proof. Our lashes are from some of the top lash brands. They are made of synthetic and silk to create a faux mink look.

WHY DON'T YOU USE REAL MINK?

Real mink is a term that is unfortunately thrown around a lot in the lash world. There is no need to use real mink because there are so many wonderful alternatives that mimic what real mink looks and feels like. Many people love to say "Cruelty Free Mink" but, unfortunately this is simply not the case. Many times the minks are confined to very small cages, sedated to the point that they're barely alive, while they're brushed for the fur. Once "used for the lash industry" the animal is most likely transported for the fur trade, its inhumane, a sad life and completely unnecessary cruelty/torture for the poor little mink. So nope, we don't believe in supporting that!

CAN I BOOK A CONSULTATION?

Yes! No Cost. It is not available to book online but call our studio and we can setup a 15 min consultation to discuss what you're looking for.

DO YOU TEACH LASH CLASSES?

We will be offering a class soon! We are taking email addresses/info and will notify you when our classes become available. Please call to be placed on the class list!

HOW DO YOU REMOVE LASH EXTENSIONS?

If you have lash extensions on that you want completely removed, we use a gel solution that breaks down the bond of the glue. Eyes are closed, the lashes easily slide off and the process is completely gentle. During a refill the process is a simple technique of grasping the lash a certain way and it comes off easily without damage to the natural lash.

I HAVE LASHES ON FROM ANOTHER SALON, CAN I SETUP AN APPOINTMENT FOR A REFILL?

No. To ensure quality control we do not work on lashes from another salon. We would require a lash removal and then we can start fresh with a new full set. We also require a deposit for any new client.

HOW MUCH IS THE DEPOSIT AND WHY?

All new clients are required to make a deposit same day of booking or within 1 day of scheduling their appointment. This deposit goes toward the service to prevent no shows and believe it or not, people who make fake appointments! We require a deposit of 50% of the service. If you do not show up for appointment or cancel 1 week before appointment, deposit is kept. Must be paid within 1 day of scheduling the appointment or will be taken off the schedule. We suggest booking appointments 2 weeks out. We understand things come up, should you need to cancel or reschedule please do so as soon as possible to avoid losing deposit.

COULD I HAVE AN ALLERGIC REACTION TO LASHES?

This is rare but can happen and its not to the actual lash extension, its a reaction to the glue. We suggest if you know you tend to be very sensitive to new products, to try a patch test where we can apply 5-10 lashes per eye, wait 24 to 48 hours to see if you have any type of reaction before committing to a full set of lashes.

We try to prevent lash adhesive allergy with a variety of methods but sometimes it does unfortunately happen. The allergy most people seem to have would be a reaction the cyanoacrylate, an ingredient in every lash glue. If this happens we advice to not get lash extensions anymore and perhaps try a lash lift.

WHAT SHOULD I DO DURING A LASH APPOINTMENT?

NAP! lol but really a lot of clients do take the time to relax and take a quick nap or you're welcome to bring your own headphones and listen to whatever you want. We have relaxing music going in the studio and ask for spa voices, not to talk much during your lash appointment, reason being: lashes flutter when talking. For the best application its best to just relax and take the time to rest.

IM A FIRST TIME CLIENT, WHAT LASHES SHOULD I GET?

It really depends on your personal preference but if you're wanting more of a mascara look, classic lashes would be a good start, they're the most natural and will be full or thin depending on how thick or full your natural lash line is. Hybrid lashes are also a great place to start for a little more fullness, you can always build more volume for your next fill.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY LASH EXTENSIONS?

After your first application, you will be able to cleanse your lashes. It's not really necessary to wait 24hrs unless we use ultra sensitive adhesive. If you have booked a full set you will be given an aftercare kit of our foam cleanser as well as a brush to cleanse your lashes. You will cleanse your lashes daily with the foaming lash cleanser, rinse thoroughly,  pat dry with a towel, do not rub and when they're dry, brush them. It is important to keep your lashes clean to avoid any build up of dead skin and to prevent blepharitis. Schedule your fill every 2 weeks. Voila, you just took care of your extensions!

HOW DO YOU SANITIZE TOOLS?

Barbecide and we also use hospital grade disinfectant in the salon.

IS THERE A LASH SERUM I CAN USE TO GROW MY LASHES? WHAT ABOUT USING A SERUM WHILE I HAVE LASH EXTENSIONS ON?

Yes! We offer a lash serum in studio that we recommend. It works great and can be used while wearing lash extensions.

CAN I WEAR MASCARA OR LINER WITH EXTENSIONS?

Not on Hybrid or Volume lashes and Yes for classic lashes, however we recommend it is not waterproof and only use toward the end of the lashes. Eyeliner is fine as long as it's not waterproof or the gel kind that can get stuck in the lashes.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FOR A REFILL?

We ask that you have CLEAN lashes. If you need we have cleanser and makeup remover to use in our bathroom. We will go through your lashes, take off any old ones that have grown out and replace them with fresh new lashes. We do not take off every lash extension during your fill, just the ones we can see that are ready to come off, we then fill other lashes that need extensions.

DO I NEED TO TAKE A BREAK FROM LASHES?

Its completely personal preference but not really if you're going to a good lash artist. When you take off your lash extensions you may find your lashes will be a little shorter, however this is totally normal, you also just had eyelash extensions that were EXTENDING your lashes :). As your lashes go through their growth cycle, they will shed and you will have your normal natural lashes once again that you had before.
